Today, we remember all the United States military members that are no longer with us, like Army Specialist Jose Juan Melendez Jr, who was shot and killed in Raleigh, North Carolina. Jose was just 31 years old and the designated driver for a night out with friends when around 3:20 am, Jose was walking to his vehicle parked at his friend's apartment complex when someone pulled out a gun and shot him multiple times before fleeing the area. A neighbor witnessed the murderer running away, called for help, and waited beside Jose as he took his last breath. It has been five and a half years, and we are no closer to finding out who took the life of an exceptional man.
