On Saturday March 2nd, 1996 Alicia Showalter Reynolds was on her way to Charlottesville, Virginia to meet her mother for a day of shopping. This was about a three hour drive from her Baltimore home where she lived with her husband. Alicia would never make that mother-daughter day.

Her vehicle was found abandoned that evening and it would take two months to find her remains.
