Brian was a hard worker and doting father but after his job required him to spend extended periods of time away from home, he fell ill to addiction. Regardless of his addiction, he remained present in his daughter’s life. On July 27th when he didn’t call, his ex wife Christina knew something was wrong.

Heidi and David, both in their sophomore year at VT, were shot and killed between 8:25 p.m. and 10 p.m. on August 26, 2009. Their personal belongings were missing, but their case has seen renewed attention with a $100,000 reward and a dedicated website for tips. Authorities continue to appeal to the community for information that could bring justice to the victims and their families.
Vermont : The Bennington Triangle
The Bennington Triangle refers to a mysterious region in southwestern Vermont known for unexplained disappearances and odd occurrences. Today, we remember all the United States military members that are no longer with us, like Army Specialist Jose Juan Melendez Jr, who was shot and killed in Raleigh, North Carolina. Jose was just 31 years old and the designated driver for a night out with friends when around 3:20 am, Jose was walking to his vehicle parked at his friend's apartment complex when someone pulled out a gun and shot him multiple times before fleeing the area. A neighbor witnessed the murderer running away, called for help, and waited beside Jose as he took his last breath. It has been five and a half years, and we are no closer to finding out who took the life of an exceptional man.
