Nebraska : Steven Paul Haataja
On December 4th, 2006 Steven Haataja's day was completely normal. He went to work at Chadron State College, taught his classes, at pizza for dinner but by the next morning, Steven would vanish. It would take three months to find his body which was less than a mile from the college. Steven was bound to a tree and his entire body was burned. After an investigation, authorities ruled his death a suicide but many locals believe the police got it wrong. What really happened to Steven Haataja that night in rural Nebraska?

Montana : Ashley Loring HeavyRunner
“Speak the truth even if it makes your voice crack” - Kimberly Heavy Runner
In June of 2017, 20 year old Ashley Loring Heavy Runner attended a party on the Blackfeet Reservation. After a 6 days, a friend was taking Ashley home when she asked for him to pull over on the side of the road to be picked up. Several searches ensued but the lack of law enforcement help left family finding potential evidence. It would be nine months before the FBI would join the investigation, but they also have not contributed to any answers for the family.

Missouri : Cheryl Feeney
On February 27th, 1995 the bodies of Cheryl Feeney, and her two young children Tyler, age six, and Jennifer, one and a half would be found. They were brutally murdered in their home while Jon Feeney, Cheryl's husband was 90 miles away at a work conference. With a staged crime scene that made it look like a gang-related home invasion, Jon's lack of an alibi, and the extramarital affairs Jon had, he would be the only person to ever be named a suspect. This case took so many turns but is still unsolved.

Mississippi : Jarrod Johnston
Jarrod Johnston was an 18 year old young man spending his summer vacation before his senior year in Yazoo City Mississippi. He was incredibly smart, talented and spontaneous with dreams of becoming a musician. While Jarrod was in Mississippi he had told his parents he made plans to stay with a friend. When the friend’s parents determined he had overstayed his welcome a few days later, they took him to his grandmother’s house where Jarrod was not allowed to stay. A heated argument between Jarrod and his grandmother ensued and Jarrod stormed off. Having a history of needing some space to cool off, Jarrod’s parents didn’t worry too much at first and thought he was staying at his girlfriends. Jarrod walking off that day with his guitar case, a black duffle bag, a backpack and $20 in his pocket was the last time his family laid eyes on him.

Minnesota : Synika James
Synika James had just celebrated his 37th birthday when he was shot in the chest while attending a vigil for a childhood friend murdered three years earlier. The east side of Saint Paul, Minnesota, has been plagued by gang activity for years. Retaliation between rival gangs in the area has resulted in many deaths to members and innocent bystanders like Synika. He was hailed a hero after pushing children out of the way when the gunfire started. It has been almost eight years since Synika James was shot in an alley, and there has been zero suspects or person of interest named in his murder.

Michigan : Renee Welka
July 29, 1994, was a typical Friday night for 22-year-old Eastern Michigan University senior Renee Welka. She worked her shift at Mountain Jack's and went home for a few hours before going out with a girlfriend that evening. When she returned to her apartment complex before she could even park her car she was shot with a small caliber handgun.

Massachusetts : Molly Bish
On June 27th, 2000, Molly Bish was just 16 years when she vanished from her lifeguarding job at a local pond. A few reports revealed that a suspicious man had been watching Molly. It would take three years before Molly's remains would be found just five miles from her family's home. Mr. and Mrs. Bish would become advocates not only for their daughter's unsolved murder but for many others in the area. They started the Molly Bish Foundation and The Molly Bish Center for the Protection of Children and the Elderly at Anna Maria College. This case has had quite a few persons of interest over the years and is getting closer to being solved every day.

Louisiana: Sterling Blackmon, Brandon Adams & Christine Marcelin
In a city rich with history, good music, and even better food, it is consistently plagued with crime. Their crime rate is almost double the national average and the list of unsolved homicides confirms it. Over 2,000 cold cases are being investigated by New Orleans Police Department. Including the tragic murders of Sterling Blackmon, Brandon Adams, and Christine Marcelin. All three had been gunned down in different areas of the city in well-populated areas yet no one has come forward with any information. Who murdered these three?

Kentucky : Tommy Ballard
Tommy Ballard was a devoted husband, a father of three grown children, and a grandpa to eight little ones. He was passionate about discovering what happened to his oldest daughter, Crystal Rogers. Crystal went missing from Bardstown, Kentucky, in 2015, and her disappearance has made national news. Tragically, in 2016 Tommy went out hunting on his property with his grandson when he was shot once in the chest and died at the scene. His case, along with Crystal's and others, is still unsolved.
Kansas : Megan Foglesong
Megan Foglesong was a young woman in a toxic relationship that she had finally decided to leave for good. The night she confided in her step mother and a friend that she was leaving her abusive boyfriend was the last night she was heard from again. After several run ins with the law, Megan's boyfriend left the world with more questions than answers about where Megan could be.

Iowa : Crystal Arensdorf
On July 3rd, 2001, Crystal Arensdorf was a 20-year-old woman who vanished after a night out with friends in Dubuque, Iowa. Within months of her disappearance, almost everyone was cleared as a suspect except two local brothers who were at the same bar Crystal was at that night. Their lack of alibi, refusal to cooperate, and a possible failed polygraph test have kept them on the short list of suspects. This case is far from cold; authorities are still following up on leads and conducting searches.

It has been almost 30 years since 19 year old Carmen Hope Van Huss was raped and murdered inside her studio apartment on the north side of Indianapolis. Neighbors reported hearing Carmen talking and laughing with a male, then hearing signs of a struggle and her yelling “Get off of me”. Police were not called but a noise complaint with the building’s superintendent was filed. When the responsible teen didn’t show up for work and her father was called as the emergency contact, he found his daughter inside her home brutally raped and stabbed inside. Botched DNA testing and interdepartmental drama led to Carmen’s case remaining unsolved for nearly 3 decades.

Illinois : Jaclyn Dowaliby
Jaclyn Marie Dowaliby was only seven years old when she was taken from her bedroom in the middle of night. Her decomposed body would be found four days later dumped in a nearby town. Police focused on Jaclyn’s parents and they would both be arrested six weeks later. The main evidence against them was an eyewitness putting Jaclyn’s father at the dump site. How did this eyewitness see a person in a vehicle from over 75 yards away in the dead of night? Her mom’s charges would be dismissed but her father was convicted for first-degree murder.

Idaho : Stephanie Crane
Stephanie Crane was a responsible, fun loving 9 year old girl that lived in Challis Idaho. She was having her typical Monday. She went to school, then to the Monday night bowling league, then was supposed to walk the 500 yards home. Just as she had done many times. Challis was a small town of less than 1000 people, safe and this was in the 90s when kids were encouraged to go out and explore but be home before dark! When she didn’t make it home by 5 pm her parents began to worry. They looked for her themselves but when they didn’t immediately find her they called in authorities. It has been almost 30 years since Stephanie was seen.

Paul Featherman and Nancy Baugh were a young love-loving couple living in paradise. They were working and saving money to purchase land to fulfill their love of horticulture. One night, not only were their dreams shattered, but their lives ended. Paul would be killed inside their home and Nancy taken, and her remains wouldn't be found for 33 years. So much time has passed without any answers to what happened to this couple.
