It would take three months to find his body which was less than a mile from the college. Steven was bound to a tree and his entire body was burned. After an investigation, authorities ruled his death a suicide but many locals believe the police got it wrong. What really happened to Steven Haataja that night in rural Nebraska?

In June of 2017, 20 year old Ashley Loring Heavy Runner attended a party on the Blackfeet Reservation. After a 6 days, a friend was taking Ashley home when she asked for him to pull over on the side of the road to be picked up. Several searches ensued but the lack of law enforcement help left family finding potential evidence. It would be nine months before the FBI would join the investigation, but they also have not contributed to any answers for the family.

With a staged crime scene that made it look like a gang-related home invasion, Jon's lack of an alibi, and the extramarital affairs Jon had, he would be the only person to ever be named a suspect. This case took so many turns but is still unsolved.

When the friend’s parents determined he had overstayed his welcome a few days later, they took him to his grandmother’s house where Jarrod was not allowed to stay. A heated argument between Jarrod and his grandmother ensued and Jarrod stormed off. Having a history of needing some space to cool off, Jarrod’s parents didn’t worry too much at first and thought he was staying at his girlfriends. Jarrod walking off that day with his guitar case, a black duffle bag, a backpack and $20 in his pocket was the last time his family laid eyes on him.
