Indiana : Joseph Smedley

Joseph Smedley was your typical Indiana State University student. He joined a fraternity and for the most part, was sailing through life. When out of nowhere his sister receives a strange text message in the middle of the night that stated he had to leave the country quickly, and couldn't explain why but he would reach out when he gets settled. She was so concerned she called campus police to conduct a welfare check. It was only a few days later that Joseph’s body was found in a nearby lake, with 66 pounds of rocks strapped to him. This case was quickly ruled a suicide and closed. What do you think? Does this sound like suicide or straight-up murder?
